Plants potted in mesh containers can be lifted and repositioned without disturbing the pond floor, trimmed without reaching into substrate, and replaced individually without draining the pond. The 12" diameter suits marginal plants (irises, rushes, pickerelweed) and smaller water lilies in ponds up to approximately 2,500 gal (9,460 L). How to Use
Line the pot with hessian burlap if the growing medium is very fine. Fill two-thirds with aquatic potting media or aquatic soil. Plant the rhizome or root ball and cover to the crown with media. Top-dress with pea gravel to prevent fish from disturbing the root zone. Lower into position in the pond at the correct depth for the plant species.
Ideal for koi ponds and water gardens where aquatic irises, rushes, and smaller water lilies need contained, manageable planting that does not involve disturbing the pond floor substrate.
