Heavy-Duty Aquatic Plant Pot, 16-Inch Diameter
The Aquascape Heavy-Duty Aquatic Plant Pot 16" Dia (40.6 cm) provides a mid-size submerged container for larger marginal plants, medium water lilies, and lotus that require more root volume than the 12-inch pot provides. The larger footprint gives rhizomatous plants room to expand through a full growing season without becoming pot-bound.
More Root Space for Larger Aquatic Plants
Water lilies and lotus develop extensive root systems that, when pot-bound, produce fewer blooms and smaller pads. The 16" diameter gives a medium lily or lotus a full growing season's root run before becoming constrained. Mesh sides allow free water and nutrient exchange while keeping the media contained. Heavy-duty construction handles the weight of a fully planted and top-dressed container without distortion.

How to Use
Fill the pot two-thirds with aquatic potting media. Plant the rhizome horizontally with the growing tip pointing up and toward the pot edge. Cover to the crown with media and top-dress with pea gravel. Lower into the pond at the depth appropriate for the species. Divide and repot every 2 to 3 years to maintain peak bloom performance.
Ideal for medium water lilies, lotus, and large marginal plants in ponds over 2,000 gal (7,600 L) where more root volume produces better bloom production and longer time between divisions.
