The Aquascape Signature Series 1000 Pond Skimmer Debris Basket (without handle) is the factory-replacement mesh basket that catches floating leaves, organic debris, and surface material before it reaches the pump inside the Signature Series 1000 skimmer. When the basket mesh tears, warps, or cracks, debris passes through to the pump, increasing filter mat fouling and the risk of pump impeller clogging.

How to Use
Open the skimmer lid and remove the existing damaged basket from the water chamber. Place the new basket in the skimmer basket seat with the open face toward the weir door so surface flow passes through it before reaching the filter mat. Attach a handle to the basket rim if needed before reinstalling. Empty and inspect the basket weekly during normal operation.
