Precision High-Load Bearing
The Atlantic Water Gardens ceramic shaft for the TidalWave MD1500 and MD2000 is the precision bearing shaft designed for the two largest pumps in the MD mag-drive series. At 165W and above, these pumps impose the highest magnetic coupling loads in the lineup, making the ceramic shaft a higher-priority service item than on smaller models. Replace at the first sign of noise to protect the pump housing.
Sized for High-Load Operation
The MD1500 and MD2000 share a ceramic shaft specification that is dimensionally distinct from smaller MD models. The shaft is longer and machined to tighter tolerances to handle the stronger magnet coupling at higher wattages. Using a shaft from the MD250–750 range will introduce play and cause immediate, audible vibration. The genuine OEM part guarantees the tight dimensional match required for quiet, efficient operation at the top of the MD series range.

How to Replace
Remove and unplug the pump. Open the front housing counter-clockwise. Remove the impeller assembly and extract the worn ceramic shaft from the magnet rotor. Insert the new shaft, ensuring it is fully and straight-seated. Reinstall the impeller and housing. Verify quiet, smooth rotation before returning to service. Inspect at every spring pond startup.
Ideal for high-flow decorative water features and large fountain installations across Canadian seasons.
