Integrated Surface Aeration
The SwimSkim's air distributor creates a ring of fine bubbles around the skimmer intake that serves two purposes: it draws surface film toward the intake through the upward water movement of rising bubbles, enhancing debris collection, and it adds dissolved oxygen directly to the surface layer where fish spend most of their time. When the air distributor becomes clogged with algae or mineral scale — which happens as small-diameter orifices become progressively blocked — airflow drops and both the aeration and skimming effects are reduced. Replacement restores both functions simultaneously.

How to Replace
Remove the SwimSkim from the pond and disconnect the airline tubing. Access the air distributor fitting and remove it from the housing.
