Protective Cover Plate for Biotec Foam Holder Assembly
The Oase Biotec 18–36 / 18000 / 32000 foam holder cover plate sits on top of the foam assembly inside the filter, pressing the media down and directing incoming water evenly through the foam. A cracked or warped cover plate allows water to flow over the foam instead of through it, which defeats the purpose of mechanical filtration.
Ensures Even Water Distribution
The plate's geometry spreads incoming water across the full surface area of the foam, preventing channelling — a common problem where water erodes a narrow path through the media and leaves the rest underutilised. Replacing a damaged plate immediately improves particle capture and extends foam life by distributing wear evenly.

Installation
Remove the filter lid and lift out the cover plate. Place the new plate on top of the foam, ensuring it sits flat with no gaps at the edges. The plate is not fastened — it sits by gravity and water pressure. Close the filter lid and resume normal operation.
Ideal for Biotec filter owners who notice declining water clarity despite regularly cleaning their foam media.
