Water-Distribution Plate for Even Foam Filtration
The Oase FiltoClear 3400 / 5200 / 8200 (gen 3) foam distribution plate directs incoming water evenly across the full surface area of the filter foam media. Without this plate, water channels through one section of the foam and leaves the rest underutilised, reducing both particle capture and biological colonisation.
Prevents Channelling
Channelling is the most common cause of poor clarity in otherwise well-maintained pressure filters. The distribution plate eliminates it by spreading the incoming stream into a uniform sheet that contacts every square centimetre of foam. Replace the plate if it is cracked or if you notice uneven foam wear during cleaning.

Installation
Depressurise the filter, remove the clamping ring, and separate the housing. Lift out the old distribution plate and seat the replacement into the same position. Ensure it sits flat with no gaps at the edges. Reassemble the filter, tighten the clamping ring, and restart the pump.
