Structural Holder Plate for FiltoClear Filter Foam
The Oase FiltoClear 3400 / 5200 / 8200 (gen 3) foam plate positions and retains the filter foam media inside the pressure chamber during operation and backwash cycles. If the plate warps or cracks, the foam shifts out of alignment and water bypasses the media — reducing filtration capacity even with clean foam installed.
Keeps Media in Place Under Pressure
FiltoClear filters operate under positive pump pressure, which can displace foam media if the plate does not hold it securely. The rigid polymer construction resists warping from the constant water load, and the precision fit matches the internal chamber diameter exactly. Replace the plate anytime you see signs of deformation.

Installation
Open the filter housing, remove the old foam plate and media, and seat the new plate in position. Reinstall the foam media on top, ensuring full contact with the plate surface. Reassemble the filter, pressurise, and check for proper water flow through the system.
