The Oase Filtral 1200 filter foam set provides fresh multi-density foam media for the in-pond version of the Filtral 1200 filter. The combination of coarse and fine foam delivers two-stage mechanical filtration while simultaneously supporting biological nitrification by providing surface area for beneficial bacteria colonies.
When to Replace
Foam media that has been compacted by debris accumulation, discoloured by tannins, or that no longer springs back to shape after squeezing has reached the end of its useful life. Cleaning extends foam life, but once the pore structure collapses, the only remedy is replacement. A fresh set restores both flow rate and biological capacity.

Installation
Power off the unit and lift it from the pond. Open the housing top, remove the spent foam, and insert the new pads with coarse facing the water inlet. Reassemble and submerge. Rinse old foam in pond water and discard — never reuse collapsed foam as supplemental media. Allow several weeks for biological maturation of the new foam.
